The Pierce College Puyallup Health Education Center is an expansive facility with an emphasis on comprehensive Student health and wellness. The HEC boasts 16 thousand square feet of space for exercise, recreation, entertainment and learning. Its modern design boasts vibrant colors, natural light, high ceilings and impressive views of the forest.
This diverse wellness community didn't happen by accident. Student leaders campaigned to provide an additional one million dollars in student-based funding for the design and construction of the facility. Today the HEC provides the community with state of the art equipment, exciting classes, a helpful, knowledgeable staff, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Mission Statement: Our focus at the Health Education Center concentrates on wellness and the development of a healthy lifestyle for the entire campus community. The HEC provides class rooms and individual exercise opportunities intended to support a user's journey toward Lifelong Wellness during their time at Pierce College.
Philosophy: The HEC's foundation is a Student-driven philosophy that centers on wellbeing including a holistic approach that focuses on mind, body, and spirit. The center is developed with the intention of helping students work towards Health and Wellness. At the HEC a sense of Community is fostered that enhances quality of life for its users and their families.
